Lafourche Parish Head Start
At Lafourche Parish Head Start, our vision is to support our young children and the community of low-income families by providing a high-quality preschool experience.

About Head Start
The goal of Lafourche Parish Head Start is to prepare children from birth to age 5 for lifelong success by fostering school readiness and development of social skills. The children we serve will be exposed to reading, writing, and math skills to promote achievement in the areas of math, literacy, language, social/emotional and science. Because parental involvement is crucial for early learning, we also support parents in engaging with their child’s educational development to ensure long-term success.
